Data processing and location
Activity code 6201Z covers computer programming; the publisher carries on an unregulated liberal profession. The service and its data are hosted in France, with the French hosting providers listed above.
Transcription relies on OVH AI Endpoints (European infrastructure). Your media files and the transcripts produced are processed and stored exclusively within the European Union: they never leave the EU. See the infrastructure page for the technical details.
One exception, unrelated to your content: if you choose to sign in with Google or GitHub, those US-based providers process the identification data tied to that sign-in (e-mail address, name, avatar). This transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Creating an account with an e-mail address involves neither of them.
Controller and your rights
The data controller is Sylvain Lapart, publisher of the site, reachable at contact@techtuel.com.
The data collected is limited to what the service requires: the account e-mail address, API keys, and metadata about the transcriptions requested. It is processed to provide the service, on the basis of the performance of our contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR), and to meet our accounting obligations (art. 6.1.c).
Media files submitted for transcription are processed then deleted. The transcripts produced remain accessible from your account until you delete them, including after a paid subscription ends: the account then moves to the free plan without losing the transcripts already produced. Account data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship, then deleted. Accounting records are kept for ten years, as required by article L. 123-22 of the French Commercial Code.
Under the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection regarding your data. To exercise it, write to contact@techtuel.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the competent supervisory authority (cnil.fr).
